Move into a physical model
Develop the approved digital model toward printing and sampling. Agree whether you need a printed prototype, a finished metal sample or both.

CAD model
Review the digital design and collect your changes. Confirm proportions, sizes and details before approving the next stage.
Physical prototype
A printed model helps assess scale and form. A metal sample lets you review wearability, settings and the intended finish.
Finished sample
Review the finished piece and agree any adjustments. Approve the sample before the production order moves ahead.
A render is a digital visualization; a printed model is not a finished jewelry sample. The prototype material, finishing and shipping scope should be specified in your quotation.

CAD, rendering, printing and finished sampling are different stages. Specify the outputs you need so the quotation can define the work and price clearly.
You can order CAD design or a prototype as a standalone service, without placing a production order. Tell us which stages you need so we can quote them separately.
Compare prototypes and finished samples ↗Clients receive rendered images to review the design. Agree the views and measurements you need; request any additional animation in your brief.
Clients receive STL files and editable CAD files, alongside rendered images. Tell us your required editable file format and intended use when sending the brief.
Revisions are unlimited within the original design brief. Starting over with a new design is outside this allowance and is treated as a new scope of work.
Confirm whether the price includes a printed model, finished metal sample, stones, finishing and delivery. These should not be assumed to be included in a CAD-only quote.

A usual planning range for modeling. The design brief and complexity determine your project schedule.
Around 1 week
An approximate sample-development stage. Agree the model or sample type and review the design before it is made.
Around 2–3 weeks
For production orders after sample approval and the 30% deposit. Quantity and complexity affect timing.
These are approximate stage estimates, not a guaranteed total turnaround. Feedback, revisions and shipping can add time. Your quotation confirms the schedule; the remaining 70% of a production order is paid before shipping.
What to send for a CAD/CAM quotation
You do not need a finished technical drawing to start the discussion. We accept hand sketches, reference photos, PDFs, written concepts and existing CAD files.
For existing CAD files, include the software and file format so our team can prepare the appropriate workflow.
Discuss design confidentiality & an NDA ↗- Design direction: your sketches, reference images and the features you want to develop.
- Measurements: ring sizes, dimensions, thicknesses and any target weight.
- Materials & stones: metal, karat, stone sizes, cuts and setting preferences.
- Finish & branding: polish, texture, plating, engraving or logo details.
- Required outputs: CAD review, renders, requested files, printed prototype or finished sample.
- Commercial brief: number of designs, planned quantities, budget, target date and delivery country.
Questions before you start
Can I start with a sketch or reference photo?
Yes. We accept sketches, reference photos, PDFs and existing CAD files. Include dimensions, materials and the details that matter to you, along with the file format for any existing CAD work.
Will I receive editable CAD files?
Yes. Clients receive rendered images, STL files and editable CAD files. Include your required editable format and intended use in the quotation brief.
Are revisions included?
Yes. Revisions are unlimited within the original design brief. Starting over with a new design is outside this allowance and requires a new scope of work.
Can I order CAD design or a prototype without production?
Yes. CAD design and prototypes are available as standalone services. You do not need to place a production order; tell us the deliverables you need for your quotation.
Is a render the same as a prototype?
No. A render shows the intended design digitally. A printed prototype helps assess form and scale, while a finished metal sample allows review of the physical jewelry. See the sampling process.
Where does Bamina develop and manufacture jewelry?
Our workshop is in Istanbul, Türkiye. We work with international brands and designers; physical sample shipping and delivery timing are agreed for the destination.
