YOUR COLLECTION, DEVELOPED WITH OUR TEAM
Why work with our Istanbul workshop?
One connected process
Develop your design through CAD, prototyping, casting and finishing with Bamina. Start with sketches, reference images or existing CAD files.
Approval before production
Review your sample before committing to production. Confirm the details that matter to your brand, from proportions and stone settings to the finish.
A brief built around your business
Discuss your materials, quantities, target price and launch date together. Your quotation confirms the scope, minimum order and production schedule.
FROM DESIGN TO FINISHED JEWELLERY
What happens in production?
The route depends on the design and materials. These are the main services we bring together for a custom collection; sampling and approval come before the production order.
Design & CAD development
We turn your brief into a workable jewellery design and CAD model, considering dimensions, stone positions, components and the intended finish. You review the design before the next stage.
3D prototype & master model
A printed resin or wax model makes the design tangible. Where a repeat-production mould is needed, a master model is prepared and refined to capture the details.
Rubber mould making
A mould is formed around the master and carefully cut so that wax patterns can be removed. It provides a repeatable starting point for producing the same design.
Wax patterns & wax tree
Wax is injected into the mould to create individual patterns. The patterns are checked and attached to a central wax sprue, forming a tree that creates channels for molten metal during casting.
Investment casting
The tree is enclosed in investment material. A controlled burnout removes the wax, leaving cavities that are filled with molten precious metal. Once cooled, the cast pieces are released for finishing.
Sprue removal & jewellery filing
Cast pieces are separated from the tree. Sprue remnants and excess metal are removed, then files and abrasives refine edges, surfaces and the intended shape before further finishing.
Assembly & stone setting
Components are assembled as required by the design. Stones are positioned and secured in their settings, with attention to alignment and the surrounding metalwork.
Polishing & plating
Progressive finishing refines the surface to the agreed polish or texture. Gold or rhodium plating is applied where specified; colour, base metal and plating requirements belong in the approved brief.
Quality review & packaging
Quality control takes place during production and at the final pre-shipment inspection. Finished pieces are packed according to the agreed order requirements.

AGREE THE DETAILS BEFORE PRODUCTION
Sample approval and quality control
Review the physical piece
After the design is developed, we prepare a sample for your review. Check its proportions, dimensions, fit, stone arrangement and surface finish against your intended specification. Tell us about any changes before approving production.
Production begins after sample approval and the 30% deposit. The remaining 70% is paid before shipping.
Make quality expectations specific
We carry out quality control throughout production and a final pre-shipment inspection. Agree the acceptance criteria during development so that the order has a clear reference.
- Dimensions, sizes and component specifications.
- Stone placement, setting requirements and moving parts.
- Surface texture, polish, plating colour and agreed plating specification.
- Brand details, quantities and packaging requirements.
Specify any testing, reports or market-specific requirements in your brief so the scope and available documentation can be confirmed before ordering.
3–4 days
Approximate time for 3D modelling.
Around 1 week
Review the sample before approval.
Around 2–3 weeks
After sample approval and deposit; quantity and complexity affect timing.
Timings are approximate stage estimates. Feedback, revisions, sample transit and final shipping add time; your quotation confirms the project schedule.
MATCH THE SPECIFICATION TO YOUR COLLECTION
Materials and minimum orders
Choose 925 sterling silver, gold vermeil, or 9k, 10k, 14k and 18k solid gold. Discuss gemstone choices, finish and packaging with our team.
Metal weight, stones, complexity and quantity all influence pricing. Send your target unit price or budget with the design brief.
OEM and ODM terms
ODM silver and gold vermeil: 25 pieces per design.
ODM solid gold: minimum quantities are negotiable.
OEM / original custom designs: minimums are confirmed for your project after design review. The 25-piece ODM minimum does not apply universally to OEM work.
OVERSEAS MANUFACTURING, CLEAR ORDER PLANNING
Planning delivery from Istanbul to the UK
Bamina manufactures in Istanbul, Türkiye. If you are sourcing for a UK brand or retailer, include the delivery postcode and destination in your brief so the shipping arrangements and documentation can be confirmed with your quotation.
Confirm the delivery scope
- Courier or carrier, shipping charge and expected transit time.
- Insurance arrangements and the declared shipment value.
- Who will act as importer and arrange UK customs clearance.
- Who pays any import VAT, duty and clearance charges.
- The commercial invoice, packing details and any applicable proof of origin.
Manufacturing lead time is separate from transit and customs clearance. Confirm the agreed shipping terms before placing your order.
UK import requirements
For imports into Great Britain, the importer generally needs a GB EORI number. Commodity classification and customs value affect import declarations and charges. Northern Ireland may require different arrangements. Read the UK import steps ↗
Preferential tariffs under the UK–Türkiye trade agreement depend on the goods meeting the relevant origin rules and having the required proof. A shipment from Türkiye is not automatically duty-free, and import VAT may still apply. UK–Türkiye trade guidance ↗
Include any UK hallmarking requirements in your brief and agree who will arrange the applicable checks and marking before retail sale. UK hallmarking guidance ↗
